Local Language Program Begins in Guinea Partner Schools
June 17, 2009 – School-to-School International recently launched its Local Language Program in Guinea. This program is 1 of the 8 key ingredients, identified by School-to-School, as important for children to succeed in school.
The first lesson, in Sosso, was put into practice at Dixinn Elementary School in Conakry. The students responded enthusiastically to the lesson in their national language by actively participating in the classroom. They were eager to respond to questions posed by the teacher and to take part in the activities.
Building on the success at Dixinn Elementary School, School-to-School International plans to expand the Local Language Program to all partner schools in Guinea, West Africa.
