Guinea News - Recent Security Forces Response to Civilian Protest
September 29, 2009 - School-to-School regrets to report the recent response by Guinea's security forces to suppress a demonstration staged by thousands of people in Conakry.
The people were protesting the junta leader, Captain Moussa Dadis Camara's decision to run in upcoming elections, reversing earlier statements.
According to some reports, over a hundred people were killed and hundreds more injured. School-to-School has been in touch with our colleagues in Conakry and they are all currently safe.
